Eligibility checker introduced for parental leave

A critical belief of gender is found to be a “philosophical belief” under the Equality Act 2010
In Forstater v CGD Europe and others, the Employment Appeal’s Tribunal have found that an employee’s belief £that sex is immutable” and “that trans women are men” to be a philosophical belief under the Equality Act 2010. The employee’s gender critical views have therefore qualified for protection under the Equality Act 2010 meaning that the individual should not be discrimination on the basis that they hold these beliefs. The merits of the employee’s case, and whether they were discriminated on these grounds remain to be determined.
