Chadwick Lawrence Hosts Ninth Annual Salary Guide Seminar
In our first event of 2023, the Chadwick Lawrence team, partnered with Hays Recruitment, to host their 9th annual Salary Guide seminar.
The event was held on Thursday 19 January at the Chadwick Lawrence Wakefield Office. More than 30 people attended and found the seminar incredibly insightful and informative.
The Salary Guide celebrates its 9th year of publication, and includes insights and tips to help you plan your hiring strategy for the year ahead. Issues covered included the impact of the rising cost of living on pay. And it answered questions on what actions your peers are taking to secure talent, whether skill shortages are getting worse and what matters most to professionals apart from pay.
Our team of experts also spoke about what to expect from 2023 in the world of employment law. We discussed how the recent Retained EU Law (Revocation and Repeal) Bill will work and how it will impact TUPE, the Working Time Regulations and other employment law topics.
Finally, the event focused on the recent Harper v Brazel decision, informing employers about the court’s decision that employers cannot use the 12.07% method to calculate holiday pay entitlement.
