Ellie Hirst is elected President of the Huddersfield and Dewsbury Law Society

We are proud to announce that our Solicitor, Ellie Hirst, has been elected as the President of the Huddersfield and Dewsbury Law Society.

Ellie has been with Chadwick Lawrence since 2019, currently working (and shining) in the Family and Wills & Probate department. She specialises in Wills, Power of Attorney and Probate. Ellie first discovered her love for law while studying at the University of Huddersfield, where she gained a first-class honours degree and was awarded with an accolade for achieving the highest marks in Land Law. She also achieved a distinction on the Legal Practise Course at the University of Law, and a distinction in her master’s degree whilst working full time.

The Huddersfield and Dewsbury Law Society, representing people within the legal profession for more than 140 years. The Society supports and provides services to its members, also hosting regular networking and social events and providing pro bono legal services with their partner the Access to Justice Foundation.

Ellie has been the Vice President of the Society for the past year and plays an active part in running their events and socials. And to become President, there is an official election at their Annual General Meeting where she was voted in confidentially by the society’s members.

Ellie says: “I’m proud and honoured to be elected as the President and am looking forward to representing the legal profession in Huddersfield and Dewsbury at future events. I’m also excited to be in position to organise events for the Huddersfield legal community, and to bring them together.”
