Our Wills and Probate Team Have Raised £3,250 for Kirkwood Hospice
At Chadwick Lawrence, our Wills and Probate team maintains a longstanding partnership with Kirkwood Hospice, and we are proud to continue our involvement in their year-round Make a Will scheme. This initiative encourages individuals to draft their wills while simultaneously raising funds for the charity.
Who are The Kirkwood Hospice and what do they do?
The Kirkwood Hospice are a diverse community of clinical and medical professionals, fundraisers, volunteers, patients, carers, and families united by a shared mission to provide exceptional care for the people of Kirklees. Their focus is on improving the quality of life for local individuals facing life-limiting illnesses, ensuring that every moment is cherished and lived to the fullest. They simplify complex situations by prioritising what truly matters and extend their support to families and loved ones, helping them to continue living well even in difficult circumstances. The Kirkwood’s motivation stems from their belief that everyone affected by such illnesses deserves the highest standard of care, aimed at enhancing their quality of life for however long that may be.
The importance of the Make a Will scheme
The Make a Will scheme, promoted by Kirkwood Hospice, holds great significance for both individuals and the community, addressing the often-overlooked task of estate planning. Creating a legally sound will is crucial for ensuring that an individual’s assets are distributed according to their wishes after they pass away. This initiative not only removes worry and fear surrounding the distribution of assets but also encourages individuals to plan for the future.
Our and your impact
Through taking part in the Make a Will scheme, we waive our legal fees for a donation to the hospice instead. In turn, we have raised an impressive £3,250 for Kirkwood Hospice. This contribution will undoubtedly go towards vital care and support for the Kirklees community and we are glad to have contributed to this amazing cause.
Participating in the Make a Will scheme offers individuals the opportunity to manage their affairs while making a meaningful impact on the lives of others. By encouraging thoughtful estate planning, this initiative provides essential financial support for the invaluable services offered by Kirkwood Hospice.
