The Value of the Void
An interactive session designed to ensure your internal voids teams and external contractors understand how they can assist your organisation with minimising the number of disrepair claims, claims costs and claims turn-around times.
Who is this session for?
Registered Provider voids teams and voids contractors.
Format
In-person at your offices or ours.
An interactive and competitive team game where colleagues see a disrepair claim from start to finish, understanding how what was done in the voids process has affected the existence and value of the claim. Each team has to choose how to handle each stage of the claim, picking from a multiple-choice list. Teams win points for decisions that make the claim and complaint cheaper and quicker and lose points for decisions that make things worse.
This session:
- Empowers attendees with a clear understand landlords’ repairing obligations and how they can help your organisation to minimise the number of housing conditions claims, claims spend and claims turn-around times.
- Facilitates discussion of best practice in relation to:-
- What to fix during the voids process.
- The standard that should be achieved in the voids process.
- Voids record keeping: what should be included and how the information should be stored.
Length of session: Half a day including rest breaks.
Aim of the session
- Ensure best practice to minimise the number of claims that your organisation faces.
- Ensure that voids staff and contractors are trained to understand how they can help to minimise the number of claims and the impact of claims.
