Should Employers to use the CJRS Furlough Scheme as an alternative to Redundancy? – Tribunal decisions

Recent cases suggest that the tribunal may expect employers to have considered furlough when contemplating redundancies.

Temporary Exemption from Close Contact Self-Isolation for Essential Workers

Workplaces that provide essential services can apply to take part in the daily contact testing scheme, including food distribution and production, emergency services, transport networks, defence, prisons, waste collection, and energy.

Staff at approved workplaces who have been identified as the close contact of someone outside their household who has tested positive for COVID-19 can choose to take part in daily contact testing rather than self-isolate unless they develop symptoms or get a positive test result.
